The short version
SleepSnug has no accounts, no servers of its own and no cookies, and it does not track you across other sites. The calculator runs entirely in your browser. The only things that leave your device are the anonymous page-view counts and the weather and place lookups described below.
What stays on your device
SleepSnug saves a few things in your browser's local storage so it can remember you next time. This data stays on your device and is never sent anywhere:
- your last result and your preferences (theme, room set-up, the sleeping bags you own)
- child profiles, if you use them: the names and age bands you enter
- the age you last chose
- the last location you used: its coordinates rounded to about 1 km, and the place name, so the calculator can skip the location step on your next visit
Your browser may also keep a copy of the site's pages so it works offline. You can clear all of this at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Analytics
Across the whole site we use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It is cookie-free and records only anonymous, aggregated page views (such as the page visited, the referring site, country, and browser or device type). It does not set cookies, build a profile of you, or store your IP address.
Weather and location
If you use your location, your device's coordinates are rounded to about 1 km and sent directly to Open-Meteo (a free, open-source weather API) to fetch the forecast. If you search instead, only the suburb, town or postcode you type is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim search service (Search © OpenStreetMap contributors) — please don't enter a street address. SleepSnug does not send your location to anyone else. Location is optional: you can enter a room temperature manually instead.
Links to other sites
Product links go to third-party retailers (e.g. Amazon, ergoPouch, Bonds). SleepSnug earns nothing from these links — no commissions, no affiliate tags. The optional "support us" link goes to Ko-fi, a third-party service. When you visit any other site, its own privacy policy and cookies apply.
Future changes
We may add affiliate links or email sign-up in future. If we do, this policy will be updated first, and any consent required will be asked for before any data is collected.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the creators and operators of SleepSnug shall not be held liable for any loss, injury, damage, or harm — whether direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of, or reliance on, information provided by this tool. This includes but is not limited to decisions about infant clothing, sleep environment, or temperature management.
Assumption of risk
By using SleepSnug, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for all decisions regarding your child's sleep safety and clothing. You agree to use SleepSnug as one reference among many and to exercise your own parental judgement at all times.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of SleepSnug after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
